carved wooden box stained and sealed. Box top slides along a grove, with one drawer. The exterior of the box has decorative carving in a geometric pattern of indented ovals.

At the bottom is handwritten in pencil,
"To Mrs. Charles Hurst
Ch--- --- box"
[some words are not decipherable]

A business card of F. Lanier Graham is taped to the bottom of the piece includes the following handwritten note: "the Oklahoma Preacher Man and the Cherokee Dancer - A Portrait of the Rev. & Mrs. Thomas E. Graham. Grandparents of FLG" followed by what appears to be F. Lanier Graham's signature.
