Zoomorphic jade figurine from the Hongshan culture (4700 – 2900 BCE). Bird creature has large circular eyes, small beak, and long swept-back wings. Two holes puncture figure at nape and feet. Stone is olive with soft gradient to burnt orange at tip of wing.
