Anthropomorphic jade figure from the Hongshan culture (4700 – 2900 BCE). Sculpture has clearly defined facial features. Hair is in large looping style. Garment adorns bottom half of figure wrapping around back over legs. Stone is burnt-orange in color with pale white sections.
