Small Green Tara. Born from the tear of Chenrezig, the Buddha of Compassion, Tara is a completely enlightened Buddha. As a young bodhisattva she promised always to appear in female form to benefit beings and protect them from fear. In the green form the left hand holds a white utpala flower at her heart.
