Over the past few months, we’ve been engaged in the careful process of bringing Gerrit’s artwork out of the darkness of storage and into the light—both literally and figuratively. As we sort through the archive, which spans his 50-year career, we’re rediscovering pieces that have been tucked away, waiting for the right moment to be seen again. From his bold, experimental early works to the vibrant color explorations of his later period, each painting emerges with its own story, ready to be appreciated anew.

This Sunday, March 2nd, Jake Greve and I will be at the storage facility continuing this process, unboxing and cataloging more of his paintings and works on paper. If you’ve ever wanted to experience Gerrit Greve’s artwork in person this is an opportunity to see them outside the confines of storage, where they can truly breathe.
