"LE BASSIN", 1994 SIGNED ORIGINAL LIMITED EDITION COLOR SERIGRAPH BY THE FRENCH ARTIST ANDRE BARDET (1909-2006)

This limited edition color serigraph of the Grand Bassin du Luxembourg, a large octagonal pond in the center of the Jardin du Luxembourg in Paris where children can rent and sail model boats, is by the French artist Andre Bardet. Bardet was best known for his French lanscapes. This color serigraph is an excellent example of the artist's work. The serigraph is signed in pencil by the artist in the margin below the image lower right: Bardet, and numbered in pencil in the margin below the image lower left: 100/350. The image size measures 6 1/2 x 7 7/8 inches. Printed on wove paper, the sheet with full margins measures 9 1/4 x 11 inches. The serigraph comes unframed.
