This early 20th century impressionist watercolor, a winter landscape view of the Lamer Winkel Valley and Osser Mountain located in the Bavarian Forest, is illegibly signed by the artist in the image lower left corner. The watercolor is titled by the artist with pencil in the margin below the image lower left, written in the Old German script: Osser Lamerwinkl Bayerischerwald.
The medium is gouache (opaque watercolor) painted to the edges on a cream color wove paper, The watercolor measures 10 3/4 x 13 1/2 inches (27 x 34 cm), mounted by the artist (adhered completely) on a light cream color heavy card stock backing with margins. The backing measure 12 1/4 x 14 1/2 inches (31 x 37 cm). The watercolor comes unframed.
