Commissioned by Ceaser’s Entertainment, for the New Orleans Harrah’s Hotel, Frenchy was selected to create 6 separate paintings depicting the energy of New Orleans. The images were then made into stretched canvas, and framed serigraph prints that appear throughout the various Harrah’s Hotel rooms, and elevator lobbies.
The bubbles represent the New Orleans spirit, & music, here you see them flowing from the sky creating the city landscape, this is a style that eye created to achieve the desired affect of a semi-blurred background, and detailed crisp horse post. Look close at the pedestrians on the left, and you will see Frenchy (bald guy) holding hands with his son Leo “holding a toy airplane”, and wife Tina to his right. This painting brings back many crazy memories of the 2 years (2001-2002) spent living above my gallery at 319 Royal Street,.
This painting was also made into the first Frenchy Puzzles in partnership with Liberty Puzzles.
