Soundscape accompanied by Digital print on vinyl.

This piece represents a docu-fictional scene in the “every.single.one” performance in which my sister, Kris, and I address our dad posthumously to share with him that we “never have, nor ever would blame” him for passing the BRCA genetic mutation on to us that is the reason for our high cancer risk. (My sister was diagnosed several times with breast cancer with the first diagnosis at the age of 42.) The print is a montage of layered text from the script. (If accompanied with a soundscape, that is the recorded theatrical reading of the scene integrated with original music composed and performed by our dad, Jim Sampson, along with excerpts from music by Chopin, who was influential on our dad’s own composition work.)
