Apropos to the FAUX RELIC FRAME process: the 90 degree edges are whittled off of new barnwood frames, into which individual tiles are lain onto an Ampersand panel as the base, with Centurion oil primed linen affixed to it. Relief sculpting is done with modeling paste. Several layers of paint follow: acrylic, then oil glazes, with a final Varathane coat to finish them.
