Inspired by "Little Women" by Louisa May Alcott

Here I give you a slightly different depiction of the March sisters on their way home from reading in the park one evening. "We have to go back!," said Amy to Beth, "I forgot my pencils and paper."

This scene, hints at the March girls reading Charles Dickens. If you've read "Little Women" or have seen the 1994 movie adaptation, the girls enjoy being part of the Pickwick Club, (Inspired by "The Pickwick Papers") where they make up stories and plays, dress up, and act out different parts for fun.

The mid to late nineteenth century is my absolute favorite time for fiction. Not only is "Little Women" one of my favorite classic books, but it's extra special to me because I have always adored Dickens too. I would have loved to be in the Pickwick Club! These type of activities were totally a part of my youth. How many fake newspapers, tiny books and magazines I'd create! I also recollect making up and performing silly newscasts with my brother, using my Dad's small portable tape recorder. It was a fun and imaginative time back then...and thankfully for me not much has changed.
