The original concept for this piece began in a dream. Once an image comes to the forefront of my consciousness I begin to build on that through reading and reflection. Pegasus is the mythological creature associated with inspiration. This dream occurred during a time when ideas were running dry. In the dream she felt like a gift of hope as well as inspiration.
