Artist Statement:

In my painting, "Faraday Braids", I imagine a parallel reality bombarded, just like ours, by unseen technological waves.
In our own actual world, people guard against electromagnetic (EMF) intrusions with a Faraday Cage or Shield, repelling 5G, Wi-fi, and Bluetooth, thus protecting themselves from unwanted intrusions.
In her world, the subject of my painting has figured out how to use her own powerful braids as a Faraday Cage. In her universe, she is a folk heroine.
