This is a very playful piece that was painted during a not so playful time. The corona virus pandemic 2020. As I write this we are still "sheltering in place". It has been nine weeks of not going out unless necessary. just the other day the beaches were finally open again, and we went. It felt good to get outside and "walk away" from reality for a moment. A friend of mine saw this painting differently, she suggested the woman was walking away from her childhood, leaving it behind as she moved forward with her life. What do you see?
