“Lens of Time” is inspired by a well-traveled, vintage Leica that has become a family heirloom. Its’ lens has captured a wealth of snapshots and memories over the years. Now it lives in my home, quietly witnessing the daily rituals of family life from a place of honor at the top of the stairs. The way the world takes pictures has changed dramatically since this camera was built. Engineered as a precision instrument, it has withstood the test of time and still maintains its form and function. Can we ever truly capture the present with enough context so that it is understandable to future generations? Perhaps it is only possible to honor each moment for the gift that it is.
