This work is an immersion into the sublime color of a specific, revered place: the waters of the Wild and Scenic Quartzville Creek known as Yellow Bottom. The composition abstracts the depths of the pool, where clear emerald waters meet the subterranean light of 'hidden gold' from the creek bed.

The application of 24K gold leaf transforms the surface, elevating the water's texture into a geological tapestry—a kind of illuminated map of an inner world.
