This work marks a significant personal milestone: After ten years in my former studio, it is the first piece created in my new studio. It functions as the connecting element to "SOLILOQUY (ALL THIS CRAZY IDEAS)," which served as my farewell work in the old studio.

For me, both pieces represent a moment of transition: The sad feeling of leaving something old and loved, but simultaneously looking forward to something new, having new ideas and creating the start of a new chapter, a new beginning.

As Hermann Hesse famously said: "Jedem Anfang wohnt ein Zauber inne" ("There is magic in every beginning"). This sense of magic and the energy of fresh starts is palpable within this painting.
