This original abstract painting on paper belongs to my series "DON'T EXPECT LIFE TO MAKE SENSE."
For me, this series is an exercise in letting go of control. Although I have been painting for years, I use these works to force myself out of my comfort zone; trying new tools, media and color mixes and simply let coincidences happen. The core idea is to accept these visual accidents and live with them, just as we must do in life.
This specific piece (No. 12), is a very organic result. The broad, gestural strokes in turquoise, blue, and yellow created a scene that strongly reminds me of the sea and water. It balances the chaos of the process with a refreshing, summer-like harmony.
