María Emilia Cunliffe propone una involución hacia esa simpleza ontológica que aún guardamos dentro. Una vuelta a lo primordial y un encuentro evocativo con el origen, son parte de las sensaciones que provoca su trabajo. La manufactura, cuidadosa y prolija parece inspirada en esto mismo, el cuerpo humano retratado desde una mirada inocente, desde un imaginario que privilegia lo elemental.

Estudió en la Escuela de Arte Constantin Meunier de Bruselas Bélgica y llevó cursos en el Creative Art Center de Dallas Usa. En el año 2005 llevó el taller de Eugenio Dittborn, premio nacional de Arte Chileno y reconocido artista internacional, dirigido a Artistas profesionales en Santiago de Chile. Ha realizado colectivas en Venezuela, España, Miami, Alemania, Nueva York, Chile y Lima. Participó en Art Lima 2016, Monumental Callao instalación 2017, Partes Sao Paulo 2017, Odeón 2018, Este Arte 2019; Scope MIAMI 2019 y Palm Beach 2020

María Emilia Cunliffe proposes a regression towards that ontological simplicity that we still keep inside. A return to the primordial and an evocative encounter with the origin are part of the sensations that her work provokes. The careful and neat manufacture seems inspired by this, the human body portrayed from an innocent look, from an imagery that privileges the elemental.
She studied at the Constantin Meunier School of Art in Brussels, Belgium and took courses at the Creative Art Center in Dallas USA. In 2005 she led the workshop of Eugenio Dittborn, Chilean National Art Award and renowned international artist, aimed at professional artists in Santiago de Chile.
