A feminine take on the Roman God of new beginnings
Looking to the past and the future with two faces, this artwork is a representation of self-reflection, transition, growth and time.
A depiction of both public and private faces and in what means we choose to reveal them, The Goddess of New Beginnings is a divine figure symbolising the eternal cycle of rebirth and transformation. She embodies the hope and potential that each dawn brings, inspiring us to shed the past and embrace the limitless opportunities of a fresh start.
In a world often marked by challenges and change, the Goddess of New Beginnings serves as a guiding light, reminding us that within every ending lies the seed of a new beginning. Her presence in our myths and beliefs underscores the enduring human spirit's capacity to rise, adapt, and flourish, no matter how daunting the journey. She remains an ever-present symbol of resilience, growth, and the perpetual promise of tomorrow.
Technique
Musings In Heaven (Circling The Night) was created by constructing a hand-cut collage using female photographic portraiture, photograms from antique glass slides of interstellar clouds, and hand-printed surface textures of lunar craters.
