It's all about illusion and attention, taking time to make sense of what the eye is seeing. I'm also quite taken with this pieces architectural shape and colours that bring to mind wide open sky and the colour of the lattice work my parent's home. And feels a bit like sky and water and shore meeting. A build structure or natural formations or both? As this piece has a connection to my childhood home, the title is also from that time period - a line from Billy Joel's song, Innocent Man.
