With a dazzling display of brilliant color and acrobatic skill the  Lilac Breasted Roller flashes over the brush and for an instant is perfectly  contrasted by the rough textures  and gnarly horns of the powerful cape buffalo. In "Beauty & the Beast" I  strove to capture all of the stunning details of a fleeting encounter between two complete opposites crossing paths on the plains.  Can you feel the warmth of  Africa's grasslands during this brief moment in time?
