I recently had the opportunity to
observe and sketch the brown bears
in a remote area of Lake Clark
National Park, Alaska. My guide
was an expert in bear behavior,
and we could closely observe and
sketch many different brown bears
at a very close range.
I spent several hours watching this
bear digging for clams, eating
grasses and plants, and enjoying a
refreshing drink at a stream
surrounded by lupine flowers.
