In the early Montana spring, dog and I took a short hike, through the Ah Nei BLM land, to photograph the billowing spring clouds rising above a blue sage landscape. The air was invigorating, with enough chill yet for the rattlesnakes to still be in their dens. Here the wind whispers through the pine and the sky is an ever-changing theater, an endless inspiration for painting.
