LEGO Master Builders Dan and Chris Steininger are the only father-son LEGO Master Model Builders in the world employed by LEGO.
18,450 LEGO elements were ordered to build out the towers.
The design of the model was done in Enfield, Connecticut (the North America LEGO headquarters)
The LEGO replica built back in 2007 took more than 200 hours of labor.
LEGO® has been replicating famous landmarks and other structures since the inception of its first LEGOLAND theme park in the company’s hometown of Billund, Denmark, in 1968. Other famous LEGO replicas include the U.S. Capitol Building and the Mark Twain House
The Children’s model, which fits on a base of 8 feet x 8 feet and is 21 inches tall from the ground to the helipad, took more than 430 hours to design and reproduce
Updated on May 8, 2013 to include East Tower and western expansions.
