The King's Court Motel was originally affiliated with the Best Western motel chain. The crown with bulbs on top of the sign was mass-produced for them, probably in the 1950s. It was originally red and navy with a gold crown and is one of my all-time favorites. It also was one of the most time-consuming signs to draw. It took forever to create all the bulbs!
