Very heavy 3-layer tray with extra layers. Began with two layers of olive green glass cut into an oval shape and fused. Red glass ovals were added before the second firing. The colors didn’t come out as I expected, so I added a full layer of dichroic and red strips and was happy with the result.
But after I slumped the final thick oval into the tray mold, a shallow crack appeared in the back that does not go all the way through. This is still an intact piece as year later. I would have priced this over $150 due to the expensive glass used, but am selling it for much less “as is.” It’s a beautiful display piece.
