The striped 18” glass background piece was a cutting board created by a glass art teacher at the local art museum. Sadly she passed away unexpectedly in 2024. Her family allowed students to buy from her large barn full of art supplies. The piece reminded me of the 1960’s, so I searched for mid century modern designs and enjoyed cutting these pieces out from marigold, red, jade, and white glass. I cut the cat from dichroic glass and used stringers for whiskers nose and eye details. This is one of my favorite pieces.
