Whispering Land is part of my ongoing exploration of how memory, observation, and experience shape our understanding of place. I approach the Australian landscape not just visually, but as a space to inhabit. By walking, observing, and sketching on site, I engage directly with the environment. These encounters inform the painting, capturing colours, tones, and perspectives, which I further develop in the studio, working from memory and reflection to translate experience onto canvas.
