In Glacier Park, at the top of Logan Pass is a portion of the Going to the Sun Road known as "Big Bend". It is a popular pullout to photograph the fireweed set against stunning mountain vistas. A friend of mine commissioned me to do a painting for his wife for Valentine's Day. They have been married over 50 years and began their marriage in Glacier, honeymooning throughout the park. His request for the painting was that the subject matter be Glacier Park and flowers. I painted this scene before in a small 6"x6" painting, and so it was reborn in a little larger size to include more of Glacier's splendor.
