The Electric Girls are excited to present Spirolux, a plexiglass spiral-prism structure with thousands of LEDs that react to surrounding movement, encouraging viewers to engage with the cube through movement and dance.

This installation is a result of the partnership between Arts Council New Orleans and Electric Girls to create a fall LUNA Fête training series focused on empowering girls ages 9 – 14 in technology education. Through a series of twelve Saturday workshops this fall participating girls worked collaboratively to brainstorm, design, and build the installation learning teamwork and the necessary design and technology skills to bring Spirolux life.
