Creating this piece happened in a ground breaking time in world history where everything was being put on hold, businesses were being shut down, people were forced to distance themselves from family and friends due to covid but we as masking Indians were still making art to mask in the streets. This vest design was created from patterns that I sketched from inspiration of an eagle flying over me. The patterns in the design sketch happened through my current feelings and emotions in that moment. In a time where we had to social distance I wanted to keep my loved ones close so the color scheme was inspired by favorite colors and birthstone colors of family members that I am close to.
