Commissioned by Dove and in partnership with the Joy Collective, Journey Allen's mural celebrates The CROWN Act, which stands for “Creating a Respectful and Open World for Natural Hair” and honors the 2021 federal law which prohibits discrimination based on hairstyle and hair texture. Dedicated during the 2022 Essence Festival of Culture.
