Mural created in cooperation with the Residents of Gert Town, Students of Xavier University Fine Arts Department and Children of the Creola Bolden Child Care Center of Xavier University. The selected site, at 3600 Palm St., presents the opportunity to enhance a much-used facility. Following several meetings with the community where residents shared personal stories and area history, the artists designed a mural that reflects the past, present and future of the Gert Town area. Area school children provided drawings that were incorporated into the mural's imagery.
