The Piazza Piano turns the gateway to the Piazza d’Italia into a giant musical piano with colorful animations that are “played” by viewers on the street. People “play” the piano as they walk in front of the gateway. As they move, a camera detects the movement and position, and triggers the corresponding musical notes and animations to play. People will be able to jump left and right in space to hit different keys, or work with other viewers to play music together.
