Mary Ann Caffery has used an aerial map of the 2nd District as the inspiration for her leaded stained glass panel. The linear patterns of the streets and the Mississippi River have been transformed by the artist into a dynamic, colorful abstract design. She chose predominantly blue and red glass as a reference to the great Gothic stained glass windows of thirteenth century European cathedrals.
