Love Motel for Insects is an ongoing trans-species public art sculptural and pollinator gardens that attract and support bugs, with the intent of connecting humans with a side of nature many of us have known very little about: insect life. Insects are essential parts of the ecosystem and vital to the majority of our food production through pollination and other means. Also, insects are important ecological indicators, telling us about the health of our local ecosystems. Yet. Many of us are unaware fo the their connection to us, what role they play in nature or that many insect species are rapidly disappearing. Love Motel for Insects allows the public to interact with these important pollinators and anthropoids, while creating pollinator gardens and other habitats to help these species.
