The photo above is another featured piece from the "From the Eastside with Love" series showcasing 25+ year homeowners, Julia and Rudolph Martinez. Unlike the multiple rumors and stories, this elderly couple lived a peaceful life in the forgotten neighborhood of New Orleans East and represented a light to their neighbors and fellow community members that should be acknowledged and honored. New Orleans East is one of the most overlooked and underrepresented neighborhoods in Orleans parish. This project was created to shine a light on all of be beautiful parts of my community you don't see.
