Born and raised in Jamaica, Patrick Henry has
spent the past 15 years as an artist in New
Orleans, blending the vibrant cultures of his homeland and his adopted city. His work is a
fusion of bright colors, Caribbean influences, and the rich culture, architecture, and people of Louisiana.
"My journey as an artist began at age 4 when my mom encouraged my passion for drawing,"
Patrick shares. "After moving to Louisiana in 2010, Idiscovered the art industry here and it
inspired me to try to make a living doing what I love."
Patrick's innovative style incorporates elements
from Jamaica —woodwork, fibers, and paints— while celebrating the cultural parallels between the two regions. His work often uses trompe l'œil techniques to create bold, evocative pieces that reflect his unique perspective.
