A graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Art, Patricia Kaschalk earned her MFA at Tulane University in New Orleans, where she began working as a visiting artist and college instructor. Now retired after 25 years of teaching in New Orleans public schools, Kaschalk is a practicing visual artist and the proprietor of Simpatico Studio.
