
New Orleans native Jade Meyers is a visual/performing artist and entrepreneur who began her journey in creativity at age seven. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Southern University and A&M, and created an art-based company, “J A D E 1 9 9 1” shortly after. In 2016 she was selected to design a mural for Chevrolet for the ESSENCE Street Style Block Party in New York. Amongst participating in varied art events and creative directing, Meyers curated her first exhibition Next Generation of FIYAH!, in 2017 at Southern University. She premiered her solo exhibit “CWYC | Control What You Consume” in 2018.
Meyers was the featured artist in the “My Black Is Beautiful” part-art installation for the 2019 ESSENCE festival, and one of the selected artists to recreate salvaged backboards for the 2021 “NOLA HAS WIIINGS” project in conjunction with Red Bull, and the New Orleans Pelicans. Singer/ Performer Dawn Richard selected Meyers to collaborate with Adult Swim and Living Walls to create her first mural. She has worked on various television productions and is also continuing the journey of globalizing her brand while pursuing innovation through her artwork and music.
