Hawaii native Arthur Okazaki studied art history at the University of Pennsylvania and received a Master of Fine Arts degree in photography from the University of Idaho. He lived for a time in Pullman, Eastern Washington before moving to New Orleans. Okazaki is Professor Emeritus of Art at Tulane University.
