A graduate of UCLA’s Film School, AM Roberts is an award-winning screenwriter and experimental filmmaker as well as an acclaimed theater director. After working professionally as a production designer for over ten years, Roberts forsook Hollywood and moved to a remote fishing village in the jungles of Mexico. The restrictions of her new setting led Roberts to explore different media, both ancient and emergent. 

Infinitely curious and stubbornly autodidactic, Roberts took self-sponsored sabbaticals in an artist colony in Central Mexico, the metropolises of New York City, Mexico City, Buenos Aires and, ultimately, New Orleans. This vibrant vortex of creativity allowed her to experiment with playful interactive projects, street art pieces and conceptual work. Roberts now splits her time between the two wilds of Mexico and New Orleans.
