I painted the background design of “Summer in the City” using enamels created specifically for kiln fusing on art glass. Once I was satisfied with the background design, I began to add layers of small glass pieces to the surface, along with gold glass, standing on edge.  All of these glass elements add texture and definition to this abstract design.

The fused glass artwork is mounted to a deep, 6"x24"x2" whitewashed wood panel and is wired and ready to hang. I also added my signature glass “tattoo” to the side of the panel.  The tattoo design mimics the design on the front of the panel.
