"Modern Play" is a striking fused glass piece who's vibrant, abstract composition captures the essence of playfulness and sophistication, taking inspiration from Mid-Century Modern Design. The artwork features a captivating array of geometric shapes, where rectangles and squares in orange, red, yellow, green, blue, and brown form a lively mosaic-like pattern. The design is punctuated by sporadic white shapes enhanced with small yellow dots, adding contrast and intrigue to the overall composition. The process of creating "Modern Play" is as unique as the artwork itself. The surface of the piece is meticulously painted and then fused, with additional glass elements carefully placed on top. Transparent yellow glass balls are strategically positioned on several white shapes, creating a dynamic and visually engaging effect. I added a glass "tattoo" design on the whitewashed side of the panel which mimics the front and adds interest.
