This block is part of my new Nirvana collection. "Mindful" was created by painting with enamels on glass then fired in my kiln. A colorful gold, yellow and white background creates interest, but the star of the show is the intricate surface design in black. On top of this design I layered multicolored glass shapes for texture. I really love the way this one came out. My favorite thus far! Although the surface designs are time consuming, there is a zen quality to them. It is very relaxing creating the designs.

The block is 4"x4"x2" with shiny gold sides. An added small side "tattoo" mimics the design on the front of the block. Sit this piece on a desk, shelf or mantle, or hang it on the wall for a unique display.
