Happy Accident is a fused glass abstract landscape in the Glasscapes series. I really enjoyed painting these "happy" colors on the background, then adding additional glass pieces to the surface. The neolavendar transparent glass on edge with gold on the top really brings it all together. I dropped this piece on my studio table (you must think I am a real klutz) and decided to try to fuse it back together in the kiln. I added a few additional pieces to cover the cracks and hoped for the best. Well, it fused back together into one piece, but you can see the repaired cracks. From the front of the piece, they are not noticable, but from the side, in the light, you can see them.
The glass is adhered to a 6"x24"x2" wood panel and is ready to hang. I added a glass "tattoo" design on the whitewashed side of the panel which mimics the front and adds interest.
As a result of the damage to Happy Accident, I have discounted it 50% from the original price of $250 to $125 and include free shipping for this art.
$20 from this purchase will be donated to one of my charities, in your name. Select which charity you would like to support and together we can make the world a more beautiful place!
