This image was inspired by the IVF process and the multiplying of cells in an embryo just after an ovum is fertilized. The orb-like shapes reference the fruit of my upbringing, having grown up on a cranberry farm, and even include photographic image transfers of fruit from my family’s farm. This nod to agricultural fertility is likened to the fertility of the female body here.
