This is an impression of the last Lowestoft Air Show in 2012. These events used to draw quite a substantial crowd but in 2012 bad weather meant that the funding costs were not met and so it was decided not to continue with these shows. I left East Anglia in 2014 so I do not know if the Air Show was ever revived. In 2002 a Harrier Jump Jet crashed into the sea in front of the crowds. The pilot ejected safely into the sea. This painting was first started in 2017 and hidden away until now when it was finally framed as a finished piece.
