This painting was inspired by warm summer walks in the East of Scotland. The fields were a dazzling yellow with crops ready to be harvested and colourful roadside banks. The scene is purely fictional, painted in the studio from imagination and emotion. Encaustic wax lends itself well to painting in an impressionist loose style, giving the artist the freedom to express themselves in a loose, often abstract, way. Painting is professionally framed in a gold/wood frame with dark green mount.
